Early Intervention

Page 20

When a red flag or sign of atypical development has been observed and further assessments have been done, either by the educator or another qualified individual, there may be a need for early intervention. Because so much development and growth both physically and cognitively occurs during early childhood this is the prime time to provide early intervention services to a child in need. The video below shows early intervention services both in homes and in licensed child care programs as well as great explanations given by pediatricians, parents, early intervention specialists, and leaders in the ECE field.
