Tools that teachers can use in their classrooms for students with autism.

 Social Stories: These stories are a learning tool that help explain social situations to children. They present information in a visual and more concrete way. 
​
Social stories can be used for:

• Developing self-care skills (brushing teeth, getting dressed, etc.)
• Social skills such as sharing and asking for help
• Helping children cope with change to their normal routines
• Helping individuals understand how others are thinking or feeling
